Running Accomplishments:

PRed in Malibu Nov. 2009 with a 4:00:25, I think.  Shy of sub-4 hours and shy of BQ 3:45.

Other marathon times:

May 2009: Orange County (4:21) and LA (4:15)

Feb. 2010: Surf City (4:09)

Took a couple years off from running in 2013-2014. Haven't done any marathons since 2011 though I started doing half marathons again in 2017.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Still want to qualify for Boston (3:55).

Want to qualify for the NYC Marathon by running a 1:42 half marathon.

Long Beach Half Marathon Oct. 8

Surf City Marathon Feb. 2018--I'm training to try to BQ.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to keep running marathons into my 70s.

Only meant to do 5 miles, but I was exploring my new area and got a little lost.  Took a couple extra miles to get back home.  It was fun though.

An easy 5 miles before work.  Started feeling a little stress where the shin meets my left knee.  Not a surprise since I've stepped up my mileage too much in the past week.  Will take it easy the rest of the week...

Did these seven miles on a trail I was exploring near my house.  Had some scary mountain lion warnings but was otherwise quite pleasant.  I ran the loop the uphill direction and really got my heart rate up for awhile.  Felt good.  Think I ran it in 1:06.
