Surf City Marathon Feb. 2018--I'm training to try to BQ. Long-Term Running Goals: I want to keep running marathons into my 70s. Personal: Keep close to Nature's heart...and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean. --John Muir
I stole this from Tom's blog because I really like it:
Hudson tidbit: "When it's done right, the long-term training process is like an asymptote. The line that the training process moves toward but never reaches is 'perfect training'.....while it's impossible to train perfectly, it is possible to train better and better." Favorite Blogs: |

| | Garmin tanked and had to run with a different device which got paused at some point in the run, so this 9 miles could me 10. Not sure. |

| | in 2:02 Only rested about 15 hours between my last run and this one, so my legs were really tired after about 6 miles. In the last miles, I had to keep slowing myself down though, so I guess I wasn't too tired.

in 2:24 Felt fine. Ran in short-sleeves and shorts in the dark. It was still in the upper 60s. Yummy weather.

| | On a hot afternoon after icing all day yesterday because of a near fall on Sat. All things considered, a good run. Garmin tanked, so I don't know my time. |

| | My legs were pretty dead after the 15 miles yesterday and I was running while it was 76 degrees, but I had a strong mind to keep going. Felt like I've got to take advantage of these last couple of intense workouts before I start tapering for the marathon. |

| | Absolutely could not get a run in this week until today. Only did 5 cuz I didn't want to do anything drastic after 3 days off. Hate that this inconsistency came right before the marathon, but I don't think it will hurt too much. Just gonna run a little this next week to keep lose but not going to worry about mileage. Tried running race pace today and really felt stressed. Not sure I can do it for 26. Doubts about BQ creeping in. |
